What we can do with such community is yet to be imagined

From 60 countries around the world, there are tens of thousands of people working in community of spirit to offer support to children who are orphaned, abandoned and suffering.

These people are bound together by a common purpose – a need to make a difference in the lives of children they want to comfort even though they will never hold them in their arms. They’re also dedicated to raising awareness of these mostly unheralded human tragedies that beset children in vast numbers as a result of disease, poverty, war and travesty.

This is the power of empathic human response.

Much of our work is to offer assistance to these communities by supporting them to engage with each other online and in social media.

We also work to supply resources to help the communities raise awareness, fundraise, inspire creativity and educate other communities about their needs.

This work has helped thousands of small communities all over the world who have banded together to make a difference.

They continue to prove that when it comes to helping others the sum of whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Together we can cross borders and each become an ambassador for support, comfort and hope in the lives of affected children.

Square Circle Forum

With a membership of over 4000 and run by women from four continents, the Square Circle community is dedicated to craft, with the sole purpose of providing warmth, comfort and a joy to vulnerable children.

The forum encourages creative endeavour through regular challenges. A recent challenge took 18 months to complete. It was to knit a pile of squares, from which over 5000 blankets could be made, as high as Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa – 178,000 squares.

The journey started with statue of The Little Mermaid in Denmark and had the crafters metaphorically travelling all over the world, making squares to match the height of iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
